The Shoshone County Fire Prevention Cooperatives main objective is prevention education

in all Silver Valley communities.

Each year the Co-op puts on a skit in area schools to spread the fire prevention message

to our local youth.

The Co-op has developed many programs and projects to target a large audience in various aspects of life.
Our Annual Radio Spot Contest began in 1981 and continues to get kids involved in spreading Smokey's message to people of
all ages.

The Co-op reaches an even wider audience
when Smokey & Sparky ride on the float in each community's local parade.
